Meet the members of SHOWDOWN
Rob Demorrow (vocals/guitars)
Rob DeMorrow has been playing the guitar and writing since he was twelve. Soon thereafter, he toured the Southeast with a group singing and playing the sax. He moved to Florida in 1985 where he met his wife Vicky. Rob is an accomplished songwriter, and several of his originals are featured with SHOWDOWN. One full set of his original music was featured at an outdoor festival in Clearwater's Coachman Park, and numerous other smaller venues have left local audiences begging for more. A published songwriter with BMI, Rob recently has collaborated with producer Joe Renda (Chip Taylor, Jerky Boys, Billy Vera) and writer Larry Russell Brown ("Tie a Yellow Ribbon") on a four song demo currently being shopped in Nashville. He and his family of four live on a small ranch Northwest of Tampa, where his wife Vicky traines horses.
Steve THEO (drums)
Steve "Theo" Theodorovich, from Ohio, picked up his drumsticks at age 12, taking lessons and playing percussion in his junior high and high school bands. During these years, he also played in local area rock bands and soon hit it big with a local group called "Nevermore". For a 11th grade kid, this was a giant bite of success and a great experience. This classic rock sensation gained billing as the top band in the area playing clubs, festivals, proms, wedding receptions and private parties. He attended The Ohio State University where his time didn't allow for any bands so he decided to sell his drum kit. When he moved to Florida in 1999, he never imagined his passion for drums would be reignited. It was SHOWDOWN founder Rob DeMorrow who fired him up to start playing again and it didn't take long for him to recapture his passion for playing music. In addition to SHOWDOWN, Theo also plays drums for his community church as a member of the programming team.
Laura Long (keys/vocals)
Originally from Minnesota, Laura Long has lived in Florida for over 12 years. She has been involved in music all of her life, including 13 years of classical piano training, touring with a college choir, performing in musical plays, singing for weddings and in church, you name it! In 1998, she started a non-profit organization to assist aspiring artists. Her spare time is spent songwriting, but SHOWDOWN keeps her pretty busy tearing up the keys and bringing the spice of that third part vocal that completes the band's sound.
Keane Daill (guitars)
At the age of 16, Keane Daill bought himself a Fender
acoustic guitar. He started taking lessons and has been playing ever since.
After serving 11 years in the United States Navy as an F-14 Fighter Pilot, Keane
moved to Florida. He soon volunteered to join the production team of his
church where he has been playing on and off for 2 years. His precise ear for music
along with his guitar skills have provided a strong addition to the SHOWDOWN. His musical influence is
Stevie Ray Vaughn and he bought his Gibson Les Paul because it is the same guitar that
Jimmy Page played. Most recently, Keane has been honing his guitar
skills towards a more classical genre. In addition to SHOWDOWN, he eventally wants to promote his classical act by
playing at weddings, private parties, and fine dining establishments.
Frank Courtright (bass)
Frank Courtright was born in Alabama, and forget the banjo, forget the knee...he's got a bass guitar against his hip. Frank bought an Electra Bass Guitar from a friend of his during his high school days and played in a garage band. In college, he occasionally played in dinner clubs and wedding bands. At his own wedding, Frank featured a few recordings from his youth as background music. Now, as the newest member of SHOWDOWN, Frank burns up the lower registers with finesse providing the backbone of the rhythm section.
